The Greenhouse Effect
The Greenhouse Effect uncovers the parallels between immigrants of the Caribbean in conjunction to First-Generation Americans. What are the similarities, struggles, challenges and benefits? What do we give up in order to better our lives and for those around us? This work challenges the idea of ‘relocation for a better life’. Is it worth it?
The Amerikkkan Dream is a narrative-based story that uncovers everyday emotions and problems we face in the Black community. These emotions and problems are greed, misogynoir, mental health, racial issues, and the prison pipeline. This work is meant to do shadow work, highlight some of these issues, and bring a new perspective to audience members.
